Audi Reports its Third-Best October for U.S. Sales

Looks like Audi is still shining in this down economy. Audi today reported October sales in the U.S. of 7,358 luxury performance cars and SUVs, a result that approached the all-time October record set by the brand a year earlier. Last year’s October sales numbers were attributed to the release of the all-new A4, while October 2007 sales were blamed on when the U.S. luxury car market was nearing its sales peak in the U.S.

Audi to hold off U.S. plant and some Euro Models

Sorry U.S. Audi fans, but your dreams of working in an Audi factory (or at least visiting one) and driving an Euro model Audi are not going to be fulfilled anytime soon.

That’s right. Audi has NO plans of opening an assembly plant in the United States anytime soon as these plans are on an ‘indefinite hold’ says Audi of America boss Johan de Nysschen.
